Victorinox: successful since 1844

Victorinox is probably one of the most successful traditional Swiss companies. In 1844, the Victorinox company was founded in Ibach by Karl Elsener, who forged the knives in his workshop. The Swiss Army soon recognised the high quality of the knives and ordered them. In 1909, the world-famous "Cross & Shield" trademark was registered.
